The goal of this blog is to inform students on the effects of cyberbullying.
Cyberbullying is defined as a form of bullying or harassment using electronic means. It has become increasingly common, especially among teenagers because of the increased use of technology. It can be as easy as commenting something negative on a post on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, or Snapchat. Social media platforms are the most common place for cyberbullying to occur.
Cyberbullying is public and permanent.
Although many bullies think they are immune, everything they post on the Internet is permanent. It is open to the public. Anyone can screenshot a message and things stay on the Internet even after it is deleted. This can be detrimental to trying to get into college after participating in cyberbullying. It can also be seen as unfavorable when trying to get hired for a job. No one would want to have an employee who participates in this action.

Effects of Cyberbullying
Children who are victims of cyberbullying have many different negative results. They can include depression, anxiety, health issues, lower academic achievement, and even suicide. Children and teenagers need to think about what cyberbullying can do before they post on the internet. Parents, teachers, and other children on the Internet need to learn how to recognize and stand up for those being cyberbullied.
